Ibusuki Station public footbath
This public footbath greets you when you get off the train at Ibusuki Station. It was erected by the citizens of
Ibusuki. Like many of these public footbaths in Kyushu (and there are many) it's likely difficult to safely regulate the
temperature so it is not hot enough by local standards.
The sign in the foreground in Japanese, English, Chinese, and Korean explains that the townfolk understand the
temperature is too low and they are trying to make adjustments.
