Neighborhood Loop - 22 June 2022
Los Angeles is surrounded on three sides by mountains. In the case of my Woodland Hills neighborhood, the Santa Monica
Mountains are to the south, Simi Hills to the west and the San Gabriels to the north.
Due to the haphazard way streets were planned in this area, there are ridgelines where it wasn't possible to connect
roads. So, streets and houses reach these spots, then the city has undeveloped right-of-ways with no road then a bit
further along the road and houses start again.
This spot is the bare ridgeline between Cerrillos Drive and Azucena Road. As you can see it creates a well-used
pedestrian path. Many people use this for their morning walk, including myself.
