Entrance to the Templeux-le-Guérard Communal Cemetery
Extension. This small cemetery is the final resting place of my paternal grandmother's brother, William Henry Charles
Griffin. William was assigned to the Australian Imperial Force 23rd Battalion and was wounded on 4 October 1918 during the
Battle of Montbrehain. William's pointless death occurred the following day
in an Australian field hospital near this cemetery. He was 20 years and 10 days old.
