Apparently when Robert Louis Stevenson first visted Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas he observed “I have watched the morning break in many quarters of the
world, and the dawn that I saw with most emotion shone upon the bay of Anaho.”
That was me looking out the window at the Windward Islands (Îles du Vent) of French Polynesia.
